DigiPrevention

itpilot has helped DigiPrevention get a Learning Management System (LMS), where they have full control over the system, so that they can handle various changes themselves in the future. The system can also easily handle the requirements that DigiPrevention has for the courses in the system.

DigiPrevention previously had a solution associated with their WordPress website, but it was handled through a third party, and was therefore loaded as an iframe on DigiPrevention.de. This setup gave DigiPrevention some challenges in relation to their users' access and the rules that the courses must follow. In addition, they were also limited in relation to the design of the solution.

Integrated LMS in WordPress

Instead of handling the courses through a third party, we implemented a complete solution that was built on top of the existing WordPress website. This means that DigiPrevention now handles both sales and access to the courses, holding courses and designing the solution via their own website.

The LMS solution also ensures that the courses comply with DigiPrevention's requirements. This means that when a person accesses the courses, the person only has access to one lesson at a time. Each lesson the person has one week to complete and the lesson concludes with a control question. Only when the control question is answered correctly does the person gain access to the next lesson. The courses, which consist of 8 lessons, must be completed within 8 weeks, and at the end the person will receive a diploma for completion.

What is DigiPrevention?

DigiPrevention is part of DigiRehab, which offers various technological solutions within the healthcare sector. DigiPrevention is certified online courses aimed at seniors and people in need of rehabilitation.

DigiPrevention is aimed at German citizens, who can get 70-100% of the course costs reimbursed through their health insurance when they have completed a course. Therefore, it was also important for DigiPrevention that their LMS can automatically issue diplomas for completion, so that citizens have this documentation for their health insurance.

Easier administration

With the LMS solution, DigiPrevention has eased large parts of their administration work with handling users and courses. In the past, challenges regularly arose with the lesson videos not being played due to changes by the third party, where the videos had to be displayed via an iframe.

This meant that the WordPress login continued to follow the set rules for login and holding courses, even if the user did not have the opportunity to complete a lesson. Therefore, users were often locked out of the courses, which meant that DigiPrevention received many inquiries from users who had to reset their access again. At the same time, there was a need for our IT pilots to help troubleshoot and solve the challenges at the third party.

After the new LMS solution has been implemented, DigiPrevention receives only a few inquiries of this type - and they are able to solve the vast majority of challenges they regularly encounter without having to involve our IT pilots. In other words, DigiPrevention has got a more stable and user-friendly solution.
