Rezas Oriental & Modern Rugs
Rezas Oriental & Modern Rugs (Rezas) is one of Europe's leading suppliers of handmade rugs and has built a strong international presence since 1991.
Today, the company is the largest importer of oriental rugs in the Nordic region and supplies products to a wide network of retailers. Rezas sells exclusively through retailers and does not offer a webshop directly to end customers. However, retailers have access to updated CSV stock lists and an API integration that enables continuous retrieval of product and image data.
The product range ranges widely from classic oriental rugs and kilim rugs to modern designs that match Scandinavian trends and colors, and in their showroom in Odense, the company presents between 50,000 and 100,000 rugs.
The challenge

Rezas therefore needed a professional IT partner who could rebuild and optimize their solution with focus on stability and performance.
The collaboration with itpilot
Rezas chose itpilot as their IT partner based on our expertise in Pimcore and complex digital solutions. We took over the Pimcore system from a previous supplier, but due to extensive issues, we have more or less re-implemented the solution from scratch. Our focus has been to create a stable and high-performing platform that supports Rezas' business needs.
We started by migrating the platform to our own hosting environment, which gave us full control over the server resources and the ability to continuously adapt the system as needed. In addition, we made a number of optimizations to the system structure, including implementing an improved caching structure and cleaning up old files. We also reduced the number of API calls, which improved both performance and stability on the screens in the showrooms.
The results: Faster load times and better performance
One of the most visible improvements is that the load time has now been reduced to under 1 second. This has created a significantly improved user experience for Rezas' dealers and their customers.
The screens in showrooms now work faster and more stably, strengthening the sales process.
Integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Another important part of the project was to ensure that the Pimcore platform works seamlessly with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This integration enables automatic synchronization of product information, inventory status and prices between the two systems, ensuring an up-to-date overview without manual updating.
A long-term partnership
Although we have already achieved major improvements, the collaboration continues with further optimizations and developments. Our ongoing partnership ensures that Rezas can fully utilize their digital platform and continue to deliver high quality to their dealers and their customers.
